Dr. Fowler grew up in Northbrook, a suburb of Chicago. She completed undergrad at the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!) in Ann Arbor, graduating with a BA in English. Then, she took a year off of study to live in Vail, Colorado, where she met her husband, Jason. They moved back to the Midwest to attend Veterinary School at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. Dr. Fowler followed that with a rotating internship at a private practice in Chicago. Then, she did an oncology internship at the University of Missouri and a 3 year residency there, as well. During her residency, she obtained a masters degree by studying the immune system as it relates to cancer.
Dr. Fowler has a 1 and ½ year old daughter, Marley, and 2 dogs—their Newfoundland, Lulu, and their Golden Retriever, Oscar. She has been skiing since she could walk and adores hiking and most things outdoorsy. She loves to travel and has a serious love affair with food.
