Dr. Dana Dietrich graduated vet school from Texas A&M University in 2003. She completed a rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists (GSVS) in Tinton Falls, NJ from 2003-2004. She was an emergency doctor at GSVS from 2004-2005. She was a staff/emergency doctor at the Animal Clinic Waimalu Inc. in Hawaii on the island of Oahu from 2005-2007. Dr. Dietrich did her residency in emergency and critical care at GSVS from 2007-2010. After her residency, she was hired at GSVS as an emergency doctor. She worked with specialists in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology. GSVS had 10 interns a year, which gave her the opportunity to mentor and teach.
Dana has 2 dogs, a 13-year-old German Shepherd named Tazu and a 4-year-old Terrier Mix (AKA pit bull) named Mya. She also has a 25-year-old, yes, 25-year-old, Amazon Parrot named Neon.
In her free time, she enjoys skiing, cooking, and gardening.
