Specialty Services: Dermatology
Dr. Campbell was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She grew up listening to stories of Colorado range rides and rodeo from her grandpa Waymire, and mom Jeanne. As a teenager, she worked for her dad at Benning Orthodontics, but eventually followed her own passion in veterinary medicine. She attended Colorado State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in 2000 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2006. After completing veterinary school, Dr. Campbell went on to complete a rigorous one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Phoenix, Arizona in 2007. During her internship, Dr. Campbell discovered her love of animal dermatology, and went on to complete her three year residency with Dr. Lewis and staff at Dermatology for Animals. Throughout her training, she was fortunate to take care of a variety of patients in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, and Nebraska.
Dr. Campbell loves the specialty of veterinary dermatology as it allows her to form long term client and patient relationships, perform in-office microscopic diagnostics, and execute advanced otic therapeutic procedures. Dr. Campbell enjoys all aspects of veterinary dermatology, but has a special interest in allergic and immune mediated skin diseases and chronic ear disease. Her extensive study on the fungal flora of the canine ear was published in the international journal, Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, and is licensed in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Nebraska. She feels fortunate to be able to work with family veterinarians and, as a team, improve the quality of life of pets.
Dr. Campbell is thrilled to be back in Colorado Springs and closer to family and loved ones. She enjoys spending time at home with her chef-husband and their daughter, and they can often be found hiking and exploring the great Colorado outdoors together. Her very own sneezing and allergic family pets keep her up to date on the local pollen counts and related itch levels of the Rocky Mountain area.
