Aspen Meadow partners with Colorado Animal Rehab to offer rehabilitation and pain management therapy for post-operative, geriatric, and injured pets both on-site at our hospital and from the comfort of your own home.

Physical Rehabilitation

Colorado Animal Rehab was Boulder County’s first mobile rehabilitation veterinarian, but now owner Dr. Amanda Hensley offers her rehabilitation services on-site at Aspen Meadow. She does also still offer home visits on a limited basis.

Though Dr. Hensley’s areas of special interest include rehabilitation and pain management for geriatric and post-operative animals, she also works with dogs and cats of all ages and medical histories. Dr. Hensley believes an integrative approach to each case is the most effective, and she brings together aspects of Eastern and Western medicine to develop a customized treatment plan that addresses your pet’s unique target areas, with the health and well-being of his or her whole body in mind.

Conditions that may benefit from rehabilitation and pain management include:

  • Arthritis and other “aging changes”
  • Muscle and tendon injuries
  • Athlete conditioning and fitness
  • Weight management
  • Post-operative recovery

Our services include:

  • Therapeutic Exercises
  • Laser Therapy
  • Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation
  • Massage Therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Herbal and Nutritional Consultations
  • Water treadmill therapy
