Kevin Castle, DVM, MS received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Zoology from Colorado State University (CSU), and received his DVM from CSU in 2003. Dr. Castle completed an emergency and critical care internship in Greeley, CO, and has worked as a staff and relief ER doctor in emergency clinics in Ann Arbor and Detroit, MI and throughout northern Colorado. He enjoys the challenges and fast pace of emergency medicine, and the rewards of seeing patients and owners reunited.
Dr. Castle also has a keen interest in the health and welfare of free-ranging wildlife. He works with wildlife managers and researchers nationwide to preserve and improve the health of wildlife populations, by providing professional and technical assistance regarding animal health and welfare issues, zoonotic diseases, disease investigations, and training for wildlife chemical immobilization and handling.
In his free time, Dr. Castle enjoys running trail ultra-marathons, hiking and backpacking with his wife and their three border collies, and playing ice hockey.
