Dr. Kyle Martin is a veterinarian in the surgery department at Aspen Meadow Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Martin grew up in Aurora, Colorado and attended Colorado State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in
Biomedical Sciences in 2012, a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2013, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Martin completed a one-year rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at WestVet Animal Emergency and Specialty Center in Boise, Idaho in 2018. Following his rotating internship, Dr. Martin completed his surgical residency at Washington State University in 2021, where he also obtained a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Sciences – Clinical and Translational Sciences.

Dr. Martin’s professional interests include minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and arthroscopy), orthopedic trauma surgery, and cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Martin has co-authored textbook chapters on minimally invasive suturing techniques and laparoscopic castration and sterilization techniques for the male dog, as well as several peer-reviewed publications covering topics including the treatment of canine cranial cruciate ligament disease, canine gait analysis, laparoscopic suturing, minimally invasive treatment of canine hip luxation, and training surgeons in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Martin will sit for the final phase of his surgery board certification exam in February 2022.

Outside of work, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, their two dogs, and cat. They enjoy golfing, fishing, kayaking, camping, and really anything outdoors.
