Dr. Shaina Brown grew up in Longmont, Colorado. Dr. Brown went to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in California, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Between college and veterinary school, Dr. Brown worked as a tech in a small animal general practice for one year. She attended Colorado State University for veterinary school and after graduation, completed a one year internship with a focus in emergency and critical care at Pet Emergency & Specialty Center in the San Diego area. In her free time, Dr. Brown enjoys hiking, backpacking, running and traveling. She is also passionate about community outreach and working with animals and people  in underserved communities. Dr. Brown currently lives in Boulder with her significant other, Isaac and their one year old Mexican street dog, Bagel. They are currently turning Bagel into a mountain man and love to take him hiking.
