James Damone, DVM

Dr. Damone is originally from the Metro-Detroit area where he grew up showing horses and ski racing.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Colorado State University (CSU) in Equine Sciences.  During this time, James played on the CSU Polo Team and started his own horse shoeing business.  Following graduation, he moved to Kentucky where he continued to shoe horses in the Louisville area.  James returned to CSU for veterinary school.  During this time, he developed a passion for small animal emergency and critical care.  James completed a mentored emergency and critical care training through Aspen Meadow Veterinary Specialists.  Following this he joined the team as an emergency veterinarian.

Outside of work James enjoys skiing, cycling, and fly fishing along with spending time with his wife and two dogs.
